Combatants smirk as they travel on the rear of a utility vehicle, speeding past a line of nine dead bodies and driving in the direction of the setting Sudanese sun.

"Observe such effort. Observe this mass destruction," one shouts.

The fighter grins as he turns the recording device on his own face and his associate combatants, their Rapid Support Forces badges on display: "The victims will all die this way."

The men are celebrating a massacre that humanitarian officials believe claimed the lives of over 2,000 individuals in the Sudan's metropolis of al-Fashir last month.

A Community Cut Off from the World

Having held the urban area under blockade for nearly two years, from August the paramilitary force proceeded to reinforce its control and blockade the surviving civilian population.

Satellite images reveal that forces commenced to erect a massive berm - a elevated earthen wall - surrounding the perimeter of the city, sealing off entry points and blocking aid.

While the blockade worsened, multiple people were murdered in an militia attack on a mosque on September 19th, while the international organization said 53 more were slain in unmanned aircraft and heavy weapon bombardments on a makeshift community in the autumn.

Explicit Footage Reveals Weaponless Individuals Shot

In the early morning on 26 October the militia defeated the remaining military positions and took control of the central compound in the community, the headquarters of the Army Division, as the military pulled back.

Militia Leaders Seek to Conduct Public Relations

Regardless of the social media effort being deployed by the paramilitary, their actions in the city have provoked international condemnation.
