A Major Acquisition for the WSL Side Schüller, who has half a year left on her deal, has been a consistent goalscorer for both club and country. Having scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for Germany. Her arrival will be seen as a major coup for the Women’s Super League team. Her exit from Munich has been anticipated after she was seen holding back emotions while thanking the German club’s supporters following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently. It was reported in December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its top forwards. According to multiple sources, the formalities for the move are now finalised. Consistent Goalscoring to Strengthen United's Attack The 28-year-old’s signing should represent a major boost to the team's attacking options. She has been remarkably consistent with her finishing in the Bundesliga. Over seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-digit tally of league goals. She won the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Gathering Momentum at Old Trafford The acquisition of Schüller’s signature comes at a time when United seem to be building momentum. Their recent on-pitch successes include qualifying for the European knockout phase playoffs in a seeded position and a win in the League Cup quarter-finals. In the transfer market, the winter break has brought additional activity: The acquisition of Sweden right-back Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The new deal for Japanese playmaker Hinata Miyazawa, who has become popular figure since joining in 2023. Regarding Miyazawa’s extension, a senior figure commented: “She has become a vital part to the way we play.
