In a unexpected partnership that defies usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.

The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Newest Free Story Update

This patch also brings the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
